Dr. Dianne Stewart & Dr. Kyrah Daniels Religion Dispatch Op-Ed (This is No Ordinary Anti-Blackness — The Racist History of the Pet-Eating Conspiracy)

Dr. Dianne Stewart and Dr. Kyrah Daniels co-authored an op-ed on Trump and Vance’s racist claims about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, OH. They contextualize the current moment with past displays of anti-Blackness and look at how this moment compounds anti-Blackness with the religious stereotyping and mischaracterization of Vodou. Their insight serves as historical analysis and a reminder of the histories that have shaped this moment.

Dr. Kali Gross Time Op-Ed (Why Kamala Harris’ Promises on Abortion Matter So Much to Black Women)

Dr. Kali Gross explores in this op-ed, the significance of Vice President and Presidential candidate Kamala Harris' campaign promises to restore abortion protections and the specific impact that this policy will have on the lives of Black women. This comes when the overturn of Roe v. Wade has created significant repression on Black women's autonomy, resulting in further criminalization which Dr. Gross explores.

Dr. Carol Anderson AJC Op-Ed (Georgians can resist Trump’s attacks on our elections)

 Dr. Carol Anderson collaborated with Georgia State Senator (Gwinnett County) Nabilah Islam Parkes and Max Flugrath, Communications Director at Fair Fight on an op-ed for AJC. The op-ed explores the reality of changing policy ahead of the 2024 presidential election and what Georgians can do to resist the attack(s) on democracy.

Dr. Carol Anderson MSNBC op-ed ( Trump and his allies are previewing their election sabotage plan in Georgia)

Woodruff Professor of African American Studies at Emory University and Fair Fight board member, Dr. Carol Anderson collaborated with State Democracy Defenders Action co-founder Norman Eisen and Fair Fight CEO Lauren Groh-Wargo on an op-ed for MSNBC. The op-ed looks at the attempt at election sabotage in Georgia at the behest of Trump and the GOP following voter/election denial in 2020 and what that means going into the 2024 election in November.
