Emma Burke Ph.D. Student (2025 Cohort)

Emma Burke (she/her) is a first-year doctoral student in the Department of African American Studies at Emory University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Department of Political Science at Wellesley College. Emma is a Black feminist scholar, whose research interests include carceral studies, the American South, Black feminist theory, and feminist archival practices.
