Jeffrey MartinCommunications Specialist

Jeffrey Martin currently serves as the Communications Specialist for the African American Studies Department (AAS). He earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is a former member of Southern University's "Human Jukebox" marching band.

Prior to joining the staff at AAS, Jeffrey was the New York State Media Relations Specialist for Cornell University, where he was tasked with promoting research and supporting institutional media efforts on the local level; as well as supporting Cornell's media efforts to New York state and New York City.
