Kim ReeseGraduate Program Coordinator
Ms. Kimberly Reese is our Graduate Program Coordinator for our new Ph.D. Program in the African American Studies department, working closely our Director of Graduate Studies, Dr. Walter Rucker. Kimberly graduated from Shorter University with a B.S. in Business Management and a M.Ed. in Education from Brenau University. She has held several positions in the public school system where students and educators benefited from her knowledge and expertise. Kimberly is passionate about students gaining a quality education that will make a long-term impact on their careers. Since joining Emory University, she has also worked in the School of Medicine as an Academic Program Associate.
In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys volunteering with different organizations, including Partnership Against Domestic Violence and Junior Achievement. Her desire to help others shows in both her personal life as well as her professional life. With this desire, she is excited to build relationships with prospective students in the African American Studies Ph.D. program and within Emory as a whole.
